Does anyone feel that the Obama New Yorker Cover is “over the top” ?
B asked:
The recent cover of New Yorker is an amalgam of outlandish stereotypes meant to mock the claims about Barack Obama’s heritage and patriotism. It has received mixed reviews, some have applauded the cartoon while many believe that its aim may be misunderstood by the public. I believe that freedom to express ourselves is sacrosanct, (this has never been exhibited more than by provocative political cartoons and commentary).
My question is this, when you see the cover, how do you feel about it? Is it funny, affirmative, or offensive?
