Why is the company “NHE” or “National Health Educators” not listed on linkedin.com or on glassdoor.com?

asked:

It seems to me that if this company is legit, it would be listed on one of these web sites…I just received an email from them stating that they saw my resume on Monster.com and have job openings I may be interested in. It seems too good to be true. Any feedback? Any web sites other than theirs that contains company reviews about them?
Well, I guess it makes sense why they are not listed now (seeing that it is apparently a scam). Otherwise, I would believe that a company that appears as “seasoned” or as large as they portray themselves to be on their own web site would most definitely have a presence on linked-in or glassdoor.com Even the tiny hospital I worked for has a presence in both places, not to mention every other company I have worked for or considered working for.

You can’t judge the validity of a company by whether or not they have a presence on Internet networking sites.

On the other hand, sometimes it’s possible to judge a company by checking to see whether there’s any scam reports about them on the Web:
